The Dyson V16 Piston Animal Submarine is a proper all-rounder that vacuums, washes and converts into a handheld for furniture and tight spots. It's powered by a 900w digital motor that delivers up to 315AirWatts of suction, and the battery lasts up to 70 minutes on a single charge, which is plenty for a whole-home clean. It's manageable enough to carry between rooms, and the dustbin means you're not emptying it constantly.
The dual conical cleaner head adapts to all floors and spirals hair into the bin without tangling, even long strands. The Submarine wet roller head tackles spills and stains on hard floors with a max mode for tougher marks. The CleanCompaktor bin compresses dust and debris to hold up to a month's worth and wipes itself clean when emptied. It has a HEPA filter for trapping small particles and pet dander, plus a power boost for extra suction. Great Vacuum - just two small issues
Great vacuum and we are very pleased with it. However there are two ‘issues’ for us that should be considered. 1. It is very heavy - significantly heavier than other models. 2. The wall mounting dock is just not fit for purpose. (It was likely designed for earlier, lighter, models.). We have had to enhance the mounting holding to ensure it works for the heavy v16 model.

Pathetic vacuum
After two weeks of vacuuming my one bed apartment this thing keeps loosing suction - like so many others say. I have cleaned and emptied everything, the dust is inside the pistons that you’d have to open up and clean or have it serviced. I’m on day 16 and the thing won’t even turn on other than to tell me that there’s loss of suction - it pulsates 3x and turns off. On another note, the dust compartment? Useless - you can compress it all you want but once you turn the machine on the compressed dust becomes uncompressed. Totally useless. Main attachments - the soft brush with the laser - great, it works, like it should as this is a vacuum. Carpet conical attachment - it is about 20 - 30% less powerful on carpets than the v15. I tried both. The reviews that are positive are likely from people who had it for a short period of time, a search on Reddit will show you how many people experience the suction loss issue so buyer beware - if you buy this, make sure you keep the box so you can return it. I just sent mine back for a refund.

Happy v16 Animal
Very happy with my Dyson v16 Animal Submarine. The new head seems much better at cleaning than my old Dyson and there's a lot more suction, so cleaning only takes one pass and is much quicker, plus the battery and runtimes are longer now too.

Never thought I'd enjoy vacuuming
DONT BUY ONE!!!!!!!!! I have 2 German shepherds, now I know they cast a lot of hair, but little did i know until I turned on my new Dyson V16 Animal, the all seeing 👀 all telling green eye of shame eliminated the hard floor surface did I find out how much hair. But luckily with the amazing suction and newly featured cone anti hair wrap head I made light work, only trouble now is, I can't put it down, its quite therapeutical vacuuming around the house following the dogs watching how much hair the drop just walking around, and with its long battery life I can vacuum for what seems like 'forever' the handy debris compactor comes saves on frequent trips outside to empty, I also have a air purifier and it doesn't react to extra dust in the air while vacuuming so the HEPA filtration works great, the vacuum is a big heavier then other Dyson models, but I guess that show its more robust than others, I must admit I do prefer the trigger on/off feature on the handle like on other models, this is a push button on/off on top off the filter, the angled head also means you can't get right upto walls and skirting without a little twist side to side (no big deal)

The best vacuum cleaner
A delight to use. Excellent app support. Powerful suction. Packs away without taking up space. Dyson products are simply outstanding. The battery just goes on and on. The light on the head really shows up dust and particles. Top marks for ergonomics. Surprisingly good debris capacity. An impressive vacuum cleaner.

Good...but!
Overall very impressed, but the blockage sensor is so sensitive you spend a lot of time switching it off and looking for blockages that don't even appear to be there. Especially with the hair screw tool! Must have had a blockage alert every third step when trying to vacuum the staircase. Bit frustrating.
