My new toy

Great hoover
The Shark hoover is a lot better than our previous ones. It has a number of settings and different length attachments making it easy to use and the suction is very good. Also has a long cord so you can travel quite far with it and it moves left and right easily. Great product overall.

Shark vaccum
I have used this product for 2 weeks now and it definitely picks pet hair up and more, long lead and light at the front is a good edition easily switches from carpet to hard floor from a switch that is located at the top of the dust canister, however on carpet and long pile rugs it is quite hard to push along and you need to turn the suction down which is located on the handle, overall mixed feelings about this hoover it does the job maybe I’m just to used to a Dyson and feel it’s more suited to hard floors

My favourite household device!
I cannot recommend this enough. The suction is great. Really flexible with its movement. Does need a bit more effort to push though since the suction is strong (which is not a bad thing in my case as I’d rather have more suction). The capacity to hold dirt/dust is large. I can hoover the whole house 2-3x before needing to empty. One thing to note. This is not an issue for me but if you’re looking for something that doesn’t make much noise, you may want to look for another hoover that provides that as this one is quite loud.

Cable too short
So far so good. Picks up dirt and dust from carpets and hard flooring as it should. However, cable is too short to be of any use, I will be extending that by another three metres. Also really disappointed that only one tool comes with the unit. Companies are not looking for savings when they make items they are just being tight fisted when the take items away that were previously all part of the package.

The Navigator NV180UK features an extended-reach hose of up to 3 metres and an 8-metre power cord, making it ideal for cleaning stairs and other hard-to-reach areas around the home. While staircase sizes can vary, the hose should be able to reach the top of many standard staircases when cleaning from the bottom. We hope this helps!
No special tools are required to clean the floor nozzle on the Navigator Upright Vacuum. You can check the nozzle for any blockages and, if hair or debris has become wrapped around the brush roll, carefully use scissors in the brush-roll groove to cut it away. Regular cleaning will help maintain the vacuum's performance.
The cord length for the Navigator Upright Vacuum is 8 metres.
At this time, there aren’t any compatible or interchangeable brush replacements from other Shark model numbers that will fit this unit. Each brush roll is designed specifically for its model to ensure correct fit and performance, so substitutes from other models aren’t compatible.
You can purchase the "Shark Anti Hair Wrap Pet Power Brush" directly from the Shark Clean website. It is sold separate, and is not included with the vacuum. It is the accessory that is most suitable for stairs and compatible with this vacuum.
If your Shark NV180UK is difficult to move on carpet, try lowering the suction to the minimum setting as high suction can create a strong seal on thick carpet. While Carpet mode is recommended for best performance, switching to Hard Floor mode on very dense carpets can sometimes improve manoeuvrability. If the red light stays on, please also check for any blockages, as restricted airflow can trigger the indicator.
Any vacuum with a rotating brush roll and strong suction can create V-lines on a carpet. They are completely harmless to your carpet, and do not pose a concern. They are created when the carpet fibres are moved in different directions during the cleaning sessions.
The brush roll cover for this vacuum cannot be removed.
This hoover is equipped with a standard 3-pin plug suited for a UK outlet, and does not have a battery.
