Good sharp blades and easy cut. Angled combs for around ears nice idea but I found them not as good as I’d hoped. Be nice if you could select how many combs you want as I have loads that will never be used.

the only way in which I have dealt with a problem like this is to go into your nearest argos store they are usually good with these problems especially if item is still under guarantee or phone customer services hope this helps

They're probably like a loud electric toothbrush rather than a hedge trimmer. You can certainly talk easily enough over them and they shouldn't scare your son as they're not too mechanical and clanky sounding in my opinion.
