This compact dash cam tucks away discreetly behind your mirror and starts recording automatically the moment you turn the key, whilst the clever parking mode keeps watch even when you're not there, using time-lapse or real-time recording to catch any unwanted attention your vehicle gets. The quick-release mount makes removing it a doddle, and Winter Mode tackles those frosty mornings by keeping your lens clear of ice and fog.
Connect it to your phone via Wi-Fi to view footage and tweak settings wherever you are, and let night vision handle the darker hours whilst loop recording ensures you never run out of space. The G-force sensor automatically stores important moments, and photo mode lets you snap stills when needed. Compatible with all cars and HGVs, it weighs just 68g and measures H10, W13, D8.5cm. Great value for the price
It's a perfectly good, HD dash cam for the price - you just need to factor-in the cost of an SD card. The mounting bracket works well & is secure. You can change the angle of the camera easily & it locks in place firmly. Bracket & camera fit well behind the rear view mirror; the small, light form factor is ideal for this. The power lead is easily long enough to run around the windscreen & to the car power socket, or you could have it hard-wired. The voice feedback is clear (if enabled) telling you recording has started, WiFi is on/off etc. The app is simple & stable, if you want to change options or view footage; alternatively just put the SD card into a PC/SD card reader attached to a PC. I recommend a higher resolution than HD to capture more detail, but for the price, this is a very good camera - with WiFi, voice, crash detection etc.

Difficult to set up
Bought this to replace my old Garmin camera. it took two phone calls to Road Angel tech help before I could get the camera to talk to my mobile (although the messages relate to wi-fi connection there is no wi-fi connection! the only way I can connect is to switch oh hotspot on my mobile) When I try to review recordings I constantly get a could not connect message. I think, if I need to review/save footage I will have to remove the SD card & insert it into my laptop. To summarise I found the camera difficult to set up and still find it difficult to review footage as a direct comparison with my old Garmin DC56
