Is it working?
Don’t know if it’s working or not. Every room I put it in seems to have 100% air quality so looks like either I don’t need it or it doesn’t work. We have a dog and some dampness and despite dusting, dust accumulates quickly. Who knows.

Bought 2 weeks ago, less dust, lessens odours, the pollution monitor is reassuring and seems accurate with higher detection automatically increasing the function. usually kicks in when needed but not always.

HEPA Filter Discouragement
As with a previous reviewer I have found that the 5 year filter only lasted 6 months when left on Auto. This was not explained in the documentation. Up to 5 years seems to be a little false advertising as the only way to stretch up to the 5 years would appear that you have to turn it off regularly. My purifier is in a bedroom, a small room, where I had hoped that the Auto setting would keep the room fresh. This it did. I am now having to buy a new HEPA filter which I did not expect to have to do so soon. Please be aware before buying.

The Shark NeverChange™ Air Purifier features a 3-stage HEPA filter designed to capture 99.98% of particles as small as 0.1–0.2 microns, as well as odors. It effectively targets volatile compounds such as smoke, mold, and allergens.
The Shark HP072UK uses a True HEPA NanoSeal filter that captures 99.98% of particles, which includes ultra-fine allergens, and some bacteria that might carry viruses, but it is not a guarantee protection against flu or other viruses.
This air purifier is equipped with a 3-stage HEPA filter that is designed to capture 99.98% of particles down to the 0.1–0.2 micron range, plus odors and VOCs (volatile organic compounds). The cylindrical structure pulls air through the front and back sides of the air purifier and passes it through the HEPA filter. Particles such as smoke, mold, and allergens are then trapped in the HEPA filter, allowing only clean air to be sent back into your space.

Yes, the Shark NeverChange5 Air Purifier can help reduce smells in a closed room, but it will not "draw" odors out of furniture. Its activated carbon filter absorbs household odors and odor-causing compounds that are airborne, but the source of the smell must be addressed directly for full removal.
The fragrance block is a separate Anti Odour Technology cartridge, not part of the HEPA filter. You can run the purifier without scent, just remove the cartridge and reinsert the dial without it, or set the dial to off.
The Shark NeverChange5 HP072UK features a small yet powerful air filtration system with four layers of powerful filtration: NanoSeal HEPA to capture dust and smoke, Activated Carbon to neutralise odours and gases, a Pet Particle Barrier to guard against dander and allergens, and an easy-to-clean DebrisDefence pre-filter.
We suggest that you manually switch off all controls prior to plugging in or unplugging the appliance. The smart plug could potentially harm the unit by turning it off suddenly.
