The most undersold product I've ever bought
Over the course of a year, I studied product reviews to replace my old blender. Ninja seemed to always get better reviews than most others, but the price made me hesitant. I can only say no review came close to saying how great this appliance really is. Ice? No problem. Smoothies? A breeze. The real test came when my food processor had a glitch and I needed to mince pork shoulder. I was shocked that it took literally seconds and the Ninja did the job perfectly. It was so simple to clean! The (very sharp) blades lift out rather than unscrewing from the base which means no messing about with gaskets & seals. The lid locks down so there's no threat of it blowing off during blending. Whoever designed this actually USES blenders. I can't recommend this blender enough. No review has done it justice. It's worth every penny, and has given me confidence to purchase Ninja products in the future. A great investment.

Disappointing for blending
I returned this product. I thought it would be great for blending foods intro 'pastes' eg hummus, sauces etc; especially because the blades go all the way up the dish. Even for something as soft as chickpeas and dates it was useless (vegan / healthy 'cookie dough' - don't knock it until you tried it ;-)). I had to keep opening the lid and manually squishing down the food items to get them to process (which was tough work, given the sharp blades all the way up it). Also all the buttons and 'mode's are just soo gimmicky and pointless, in my opinion. The blender did not 'recognise' any of the items I tried to blend! Returned and tried getting the "Tefal BL871D40 PerfectMix" with high hopes but that is even worse - it can't even make hummus and the glass jar is tough to pour from!! For some reason I don't have the option to review that one so leaving this 'add on' here. Overall wondering if Argos are just getting the reject blenders or something - how hard is it to find a good blender these days?! Perhaps they're all great for smoothies and 'wetter' stuffs but that's not what I need. Very disappointed

It’s too loud but blends great!
Blending is great but it is big and so so loud. My kids have to leave the room whilst it’s on. Don’t buy if you’re sensitive to noise, or buy some ear defenders!
