I bought this recently and was amazed by it. It came in at a great price. I wasn't expecting too much, but has a big sound, customisable EQ and changeable lights. It is a fantastic speaker for an equally fantastic price.

It's a bargain at £20, highly recommended
Surprisingly good sound quality for a £20 BT speaker, and it's easy to use. I have the equalizer set to the first factory setting; it sounds the best for me, it stresses the bass & the vocals because I like to listen to all sorts of styles of music. But I will suggest that if you want to primarily play house/trance or drum&bass music, then you'd probably be better off investing a few more quid in a BT speaker with a fatter base sound. As I've already said though, for £20 you will not be disappointed if you buy this JLAB BT speaker, I love it. Make sure you download the JLAB app on to your phone, as it makes the speaker's functionality much better/easier. The only real gripe I had with it was that the charging cable provided was a USB-C to USB-C, which is kinda useless because the vast majority of charging ports you'll already have in the house (mobile phone charger plug, laptop etc) take a USB-A connection at one end. I have fed that back to the manufacturer, who have acknowledged the suggestion. Oh, and despite what it says in the item description on the Argos website, there is no remote control provided, I assume that was only with earlier models.

are you selling old stock?
It seems to be old stock because it had an outdated version of the firmware, that could seem to be updated. And it had a cable in it that JLab says they no longer use or send out in products. The time out after a set time of being idle did not work as it was supposed to. J;ab actually sent me a new, properly working one for nothing.

This means fast charging isn't supported.

As sound and how loud a speaker is can be personal preference. The size of venue and the amount of people at the party, would also need to be taken into account. It is not possible to state if the speaker would be suitable for parties. However the speaker has audio from dual 2" full-frequency drivers and dual 2" passive woofers that deliver powerful volume with rich, deep bass and crisp, detailed highs.
