My Dad loved them!
Got these for my dad for his birthday, he's been wanting binoculars for ages after I broke his old ones (oops). Perfect size and great price!

Very hard to see through both eyes.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but no matter how much adjusting I did I found it extremely difficult to see out of both lenses clearly. I ended up closing one eye and hoping for the best

Not so good
Heavy and not so good. Blue color in lenses make a view blurry. Item is quite big and heavy. Bought it for a trip and didn't take it in the end.

Hi, Lisa
I can advise that the Star Gazing 7 x 50 Binoculars have a phone mount built in to assist you in navigating the night sky for ancestral bodies to view. The binoculars don't connect to the phone in any way so can be used as a regular pair of binoculars.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Chris,
The Star Gazing 7 x 50 Binoculars does not feature a tripod mount.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello Helal,

Hello Rob,

ā Glass-wearing user can still use Binoculars, but with reduced field and quality of vision. ā
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello astrodave,
The supplier has advised the following for the Star Gazing 7 x 50 Binoculars:
Yes they are ruby coated. They advise: "Our factory have replied that every optical lenses must have coating applied for increasing the transparency, so yes it has coating."
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Zie,
I can advise the following on the Star Gazing 7 x 50 Binoculars:
The Binoculars aren't smart. They just have a clamp to hold a phone that support the stargazing app for reference as to where you are looking in the night sky. The phone does need to support the app in full, including having the correct hardware built in.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi
Technically, the binoculars don't synchronize with your phone or any other device for that matter. The smartphone is attached to the binoculars as a graphical guide to give the user a rough idea of what the bins are pointing at. The phone you are using must have a built in Gyroscope and compass to enable the app to work correctly.
Hi JAY,
After Investigating I can confirm that these Star Gazing 7 x 50 Binoculars can be used on a sunny day bird watching or checking the horizon etc, as well as star gazing.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Most more recent phone even such as the iphone 5 and Samsung s7 will be able to do limited astro photography .. it is worth looking up photo stacking where you take multiple images of the same part of the sky and then stack the images .. it is even possible this way to get images of the Milky Way.
Hello,
I can confirm you would be able to take photos however the night and day quality will depend on the phones camera.
I hope this helps
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello there,
This is just a mount for your phone. You won't be able to take pictures through the lenses.
I hope this helps,
Thanks for using Q&A.

You will be lucky to see anything through these, and no way does it record! Seriously, give these a miss.
