Not for birdwatching
I bought these for birdwatching as one of the reviews said that they use them for this too. Unfortunately I had to return these as they have a blue tint which makes it very difficult/impossible to use these in the daylight. The colours were off and to be honest the quality of the image was not great. I did not use them for star gazing so I cannot comment on their performance for that use. Being 7 x 50s, they are quite big and chunky, so aren't something you can pack away in your pocket. Though they do have the neck strap and are lightweight. I would advise that these are NOT for birdwatching due to the blue tint. In all honesty it's pretty hard for me to review these fairly as I did not buy them for their advertised purpose, I just wanted to leave this review for those looking to buy for anything other than star gazing! The return went down smoothly, no issues there.

Very hard to see through both eyes.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but no matter how much adjusting I did I found it extremely difficult to see out of both lenses clearly. I ended up closing one eye and hoping for the best

The Star Gazing 7 x 50 Binoculars are very good for entry-level night sky tracking, but they will make it harder to identify and distinguish between airplanes, satellites, and other flying objects compared to a 10 x 50 pair.

I can advise that the Star Gazing 7 x 50 Binoculars have a phone mount built in to assist you in navigating the night sky for ancestral bodies to view. The binoculars don't connect to the phone in any way so can be used as a regular pair of binoculars.

Yes they are ruby coated. They advise: "Our factory have replied that every optical lenses must have coating applied for increasing the transparency, so yes it has coating."

The Binoculars aren't smart. They just have a clamp to hold a phone that support the stargazing app for reference as to where you are looking in the night sky. The phone does need to support the app in full, including having the correct hardware built in.

Technically, the binoculars don't synchronize with your phone or any other device for that matter. The smartphone is attached to the binoculars as a graphical guide to give the user a rough idea of what the bins are pointing at. The phone you are using must have a built in Gyroscope and compass to enable the app to work correctly.

After Investigating I can confirm that these Star Gazing 7 x 50 Binoculars can be used on a sunny day bird watching or checking the horizon etc, as well as star gazing.

Most more recent phone even such as the iphone 5 and Samsung s7 will be able to do limited astro photography .. it is worth looking up photo stacking where you take multiple images of the same part of the sky and then stack the images .. it is even possible this way to get images of the Milky Way.
