Slow cooker
This is a replacement for another Russell Hobbs slow cooker that I had for years, it still worked but the words had rubbed off the outside and the pan was scratched. We have used it twice already and it is excellent, The only thing I would say to improve it would be a light to indicate when it is on

Better that my old other brand
This was to replace another brand I had, it definitely feels more sturdy. It's slightly shorter length but wider, it still holds the same amount. The handles are sturdy and the lid is able to hook onto them which is great. The only one thing is no power light so show that I have actually switched it on. I use my slow cooker a lot, I find them very handy.

I advise that the "high" setting will sear meat, however it would be much faster to sear it beforehand in a frying pan etc and place it into the slow cooker.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Russell Hobbs 7L Matte Black Slow Cooker 27720: ''The pot is safe for up to 160 degrees, but it is advised to not use it in the oven. The oven cooking temperatures are usually much higher than that, starting at 180 degrees on the low end on most recipes. We advise to only use the pot for the designed purpose for temperatures that won't exceed 160 degrees and to not use it in the oven. The inner crockpot is not suitable to be used in the oven or on the hob. The inner pot of the slow cooker should only be used with the slow cooker.''
