We can confirm that this steam mop is suitable for most people suffering from arthritis. However, depending on the severity of the condition, the manual pumping mechanism can cause mild discomfort or tiredness. Otherwise, the steam mop is not heavy, and it is easy to carry around and use.
The surface where the Shark S1000UK was used may feel slightly damp at first, but it will dry quickly due to the heat of the steam.
We can confirm that this steam mop is suitable for engineered wooden flooring as long as it's properly sealed on all ends.
We can estimate that it could achieve temperatures ranging between 100 to 175 °C.
The steam mop is designed for use on most hard floor surfaces. We recommend that you first test an isolated area of the floor surface to be cleaned as well as review the use and care instructions from your floor manufacturer.
This model does not come equipped with its own ON/OFF button. Once the steam mop is plugged in, the steam is activated by pumping the handle up and down.
