TP-Link with WIFI easy to setup and works great.
I purchased this TP-LINK with WI-FI (Model: TP-Link TL-WPA8631P KIT AV1300 Powerline Wi-Fi Booster) for my new summer house which is about 10m away from my home property so that I could watch TV using my SKY Mini Box. It was easy to set up, just pair the units with the ‘PAIR’ side button and using Ethernet cables one to the Router in the house and the other one to the 2nd TP-Link device in the Summer House to the Sky Mini Box and everything worked fine, no freezing, pausing or buffering as I had before. You must have a hard wired electrical supply from the external summer house which is connected to for main building consumer unit for it to work though and then just plug each TP-Link device directly into a power wall socket at each end and it worked great. Really pleased with it and the £99.00 cost was worth the extra £30 for the added WiFi for my mobile phone. The none Wi-Fi model was £57.00. All in all really please with it. (18th May 2026).

Easy to set up
Plugged them in to replace a failed unit (which was 5 years old itself) and they worked fine including working with existing units. Power line connection is more robust than the old units which kept dropping out after a few hours hard work.

Great powerline adapter.
Used this to extend our WiFi to our garage gym as the walls are thick and the wireless signal wouldn't reach. This did the job perfectly and meant we wouldn't lose any of the power outlets in there. I can advise that this wi-fi booster has the passthrough powerline kit extend AC1200 Wi-Fi to any area in your home. So as long as the powerlines are on the same consumer unit, it should work.

Should work with one pack as long as the same electrical circuit. The name wifi booster is not quite right, it provides wifi from the signal received over the mains by the second unit. Doesnt rely on the wifi from your modem router.

Yes, within the ideal range of 40-50 ft, using two packs at equal distances from the main house to your annex should work effectively. Just make sure that both kits are on the same electrical circuit for optimal performance.
