This replaces our old Panasonic microwave which we had for a long time. We have only used some of the new microwave"s features so far, but seems to be easy to use and is quieter than our last one.

Quiet and efficient microwave cooking
I bought this just over a week ago and it's been a good buy. It has a couple of interesting quirks - you turn the dial clockwise to scroll down (rather than up) through the power levels and the interior light is a very yellow LED lamp which is almost amber. The LED time display is also not pure white but a very bright blue/white. But it's an effective microwave, not too big and most importanly of all it's quiet and supports multi-stage cooking including a timer stage (so you can set a delay). It's seems to support three distinct stages but only one of which can include a timer; however, that's better than almost every brand out there.

5 second steps
Wanted to replace a small 800w which only set time in 10 secod intervals. This one does just what we want - it takes our full size dinner plates and goes up in 5 second intervals up to 1 minute, 10 secoond thereafter. The capacity has never been an issue to us, just the diameter of plate. The defrost is useful too.

Bought to replace an old 900W Panasonic that just died. It's impressively fast and feels solidly built, but time will tell. Controls are reasonably straightforward. Loses a star because there is no full manual in the box. Instead you have to download it.

I bought this 3 weeks ago to replace an elderly Panasonic microwave. It is quite and heats the food a lot quicker. The build quality is what you would expect at this price. Overall very pleased.
