Great basic phone
I would rate this as a better TCL phone than my previous TCL phone. It works well and meets all my needs

Wouldn't bother
This was an emergency replacement for my phone that went bust while on holiday. I knew the camera would be lower quality, but figured extra memory would be a benefit. I'm not happy with it. Its location tracking is lame. When using it as a sat nav it often follows a road I am not on for around 10 seconds then suddenly corrects itself, not good if you are on a complex road junction or in a new area (you know, like you often do with a sat nav). Step tracking barely works. Whilst I knew the camera would be lower quality this feels like a step back to the nineties. It's not awful awful. But it feels as though it is a phone half its price. The speed difference due to a bigger memory is negligible and at times the internet just slows right down. Nothing to do with peak times and a speed test shows it's not the ISP. It's like it is sulking. If you have the time to choose, go into a store and use it alongside other options and see how it performs. I won't be buying TCL again and will look to replace this soon.

Perfect cheaper phone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love my TCL 60SE in obsidian black! The design looks really smart and the matte finish gives it a nice premium feel. It’s got loads of storage with 512GB so I never have to worry about space for photos, apps or videos. The screen is bright and clear, great for watching Netflix or scrolling socials, and it runs smoothly even with loads open at once. The camera quality is much better than I expected too, photos come out sharp with good colours. Battery life easily lasts all day, and it charges up pretty quick. Honestly, such a good phone for the price, feels way more expensive than it is!

Terrible phone, have to check it's registering SIM
Terrible phone, have to check it's registering SIM every day. It suddenly stops recognising the SIM card, I turn the SIM off and back on and it works again for few hours. Going to return the phone as this is not operating as anyone would expect.

set it all up for it then to keep swithing off
you get what you pay for, so unreliable i sent the thing back, ive always had oppo and my last one since 2020 and still going strong, this TCL lasted less than a couple of hours ,

Good starter phone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great phone. My son was able to have this as his first phone and it's done everything and more than he needs. Looks good. Works quick enough and battery lasts.

Serious contender for the best smartphone out ther
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the TCL60 SE as a second phone since I got it and can honestly say hand on heart and so happy with it. The amount of storage on this phone is incredible I can download apps, take loads of photos and don’t have to worry about store notifications popping up. I take it out with me when I want some piece and quiet knowing i can’t be contacted it’s been refreshing listing to music and podcasts that I have downloaded without any calls or messages I can really embrace my surroundings now. The camera on the phone has blown me away compared to the apple phone I have now. Some of my photos looks like they have been professionally taken yet it’s just me on my phone. I did take me a lot of time getting using the operating system as I had never used it before but that’s the only bad thing I can say about it really. The screen is big, bright and colourful perfect for films or YouTube. Despite me using this phone as much as my main phone the battery life is really impressive can get 2.5 days out of a full charge. Its solid looks good and perfect for every day use. My main phone contract ends soon and am really considering buying a sim only contract and make this my main phone that how impressed I am. I does everything I want perfectly and will in the long run save me a lot of money. I would say this would be the perfect phone for anyone wanting a smartphone without breaking the bank. Even the opening of the phone getting a phone over with it was such a welcome gift and a surprise. The whole experience has been fantastic and has taken me out my comfort zone of apple is the best.
