Fast, neat and small
After repeated frustration with inkjet printers failing I paid a bit extra for this laser printer. It's only for black print but that's most of my work anyway. Used it for 2 weeks and the peace of mind is a great relief. You can also use Brother's app to print remotely. There is the option to join a low-priced toner replacement scheme.

Great little printer
My last one lasted nearly 20yrs. This one works really well, is simple to use, easy enough to set up and I can source cheap non brand toner cartridges online for about £10. If you just want a basic B&W printer, this is great

Simple and compact BW printer
A nice simple printer that prints in black and white swiftly. The downside is that connecting it to a computer is not as simple than just going into "Add device". You have to download and install a larger file which takes you through to automated ink supplies etc. Once done it is fine, but not a 'plug and play' type of printer, in my opinion.

I can advise the following for: Brother HLL1242W Mono Laser Printer.
The Brother HLL1242W Mono Laser Printer uses the TN-1150 black toner cartridge. This cartridge prints approximately 1,000 pages and has a separate drum unit, the DR-1150, which lasts for around 10,000 pages.
