This is great for what i need it for. if you just want something easy to use I would recommend this.

Overall pleased with the product
Had this for 2 weeks to replace my Samsung mono laser which I had for about 20 yrs. This Brother has equally good print quality, prints wirelessly on WiFi, but it felt that I have set it up somewhat by chance. I can print from my mobile, which is a bonus. Toners cost similar. Sometimes it gives off what appears to be white smoke, but I think it’s likely to be steam from the paper’s dampness. I’d like to know if it can be left ON. I switch it off with the button but that means it doesn’t power up remotely. Hope to find an answer.

Good home monochrome printer
Bought to replace a Canon colour inkjet printer which require a new ink printer head. A new canon part would have cost the same as this new Brother laser printer. Logical to set up and use, and way, way cheaper to run Monochrome only.

The Brother HLL1242W Mono Laser Printer uses the TN-1150 black toner cartridge. This cartridge prints approximately 1,000 pages and has a separate drum unit, the DR-1150, which lasts for around 10,000 pages.
