The Devon Padded Headboard gives you a comfortable spot to lean back with a book or your morning cup of tea. It features clean straight lines for a neat, structured look, while soft cushioning supports your back and shoulders through bedtime reading or leisurely breakfasts in bed. The simple design adds a polished finish to your bedroom without fuss. It's made from fabric in a natural tone that works with most bedroom colour schemes. Universal grooved strut fittings let you slide the headboard up or down to match your mattress height.
The support struts attach to your divan base with bolts, all included with full instructions. Two people make light work of fitting it. The headboard measures 90cm wide and 36cm high, sized for a single bed. At just over 4kg, it's light enough to handle during setup but solid once in place. Rubbish
This headboard is without doubt the worst value item I've ever bought from Argos, possibly anywhere. It is ridiculously overpriced. It's almost like they've made a mistake. You can buy a very similar product on Amazon for £37. Also there are no fixing bolts, so that's another £4!

Not worth the money
Sorry but definitely not worth the £75 I paid for it plus the £9.95 delivery charge material had 2 thread pulls on it only had 1 screw fixing to fix to bed frame (not hard to count only needed 2) luckily had same size bolt in shed the headboard could do with being a bit higher overall would not recommend this item didn't have time to send back as had a relative staying new bed mattress and headboard 👎sorry.

The supplier has confirmed. The Argos Home Devon Fabric Single Headboard is not fire retardant. According to the regulations, fabric used for upholstery does not need to meet fire standards and does not require a fire rating. Therefore, it is not chemically treated for fire retardancy.

When attaching to a Divan, there will be holes in the bed base that the bolts go into. The grooved struts then go in between the bolt and washer and Divan. Fit the headboard to the height of the mattress and then tighten the bolt.

Argos Home Devon Fabric Single Headboard - Grey
Headboards are usually fixed to the bed by special bolts (supplied with the bed, not the headboard) which would pass through a fixing point, in this case the struts on the headboard. The UK standard measurement between these points for a single bed is approximately 61cm.
