Never understood why these aren’t automatically included in all bundles but that’s capitalism for you! But Argos came in clutch with the product, works perfectly and makes life way easier rather than panicking if the controllers are charged/ finding a charging dock or docking onto the switch 2.

A great investment for any switch 2 user
If, like me, you prefer playing the switch with the controllers in a grip, then this is the one for you.
Sure, the switch 2 comes with a grip holder but, for some reason, it doesn't allow you to charge the joy cons. This grip holder does just that.
I have 1 set of joy cons on the switch itself and another set in this grip controller. When I'm not playing, I just plug the controller into the charging cable connected to the USB on the switch, and both joy cons charge up ready for next time.
There's no messing around, taking individual joy cons off a separate charging dock. They are both just there, ready and waiting. And, if the battery should run out after a mammoth gaming spree, simply plug in a usb c cable and carry on playing.
I really don't get why Nintendo didn't just ship this version of the grip controller with the console instead of the none charging version.
