Effective cooling for medium rooms with good temperature drop; noisy operation and heavy weight noted. Setup is straightforward with flexible window kits included. Suitable for daytime use but noisy for overnight in bedrooms.

Great but some adjustments would improve it.
Absolutely needed with the recent heatwave and will be an investment for the odd hot days each year. Cheaper than a permanent unit. The hose coming out the back is a bit annoying - a design feature of it coming from the side would make it easier to position in the room. Also slightly annoying that the internal slats don’t swing (the external ones do) so the unit only blows out to the right of the machine (as you face it). It’s nowhere near as quiet as reviews from the company state but I do sleep easily with the noise. However, it did drown out my alarm which I slept through so make adjustments if it’s going to be on all night.

Noisy
Cools a room well, but far too noisy for use in a bedroom overnight. Recorded noise levels 58-78db.

Does the job! Noisy but worth it in a heatwave!
Definitely does the job, placed it in a 4mx4m room, temps are appx 3-5 degs cooler than everywhere else in house and also feels nicer. It is noisy but worth it given how hot it is outside. Even dogs prefer to stay in this room

Good
Had it 3 days , seems to be doing its job fairly well

Nice little unit
The cooling is what would be expected and the noise 'acceptable'. The mobility is restricted by its weight although on castors an in situ placement is the norm. Unless you have an OLD casement type window the enclosed flexible ventilation kit is adequate but difficult to fit using enclosed leaflet.......... HOWEVER you can find a great video on YT. For cooling and efficiency........ I put a thermostat in the bedroom (27.2C) and after an hour 23.2C that would be on a par of what would be expected for a drop in temperature after 1 hour for a 9000 btu a/c.

Effective Air Con Unit
The product is very effective at cooling a medium sized room! It is easy to setup and seems to be very efficient. It is quite heavy though so would recommend moving it up and down stairs sparingly. It is not much louder than a fan and the product provides options for for different types of window attachments.

Excellent AC
Bought it over the weekend and it was delivered on the Tuesday because of BH Monday. No issues with delivery. Opened it up and it was easy to set up. Comes with 2 window kits, including one for fixed and one for flexible windows. This was an unexpected bonus. Slightly heavy but has castors so its easy to wheel around. Great cooling offered. Powerful for such a small and tidy machine. Slightly loud on the higher setting but it's an AC so what do you expect? Happy with the ventilation pipe that it comes with. Again, very easy to setup and has attachments included for ease. Overall we love this AC and would definitely recommend it.

Great Aircon Unit!
Great purchase! This has saved me and my family during the hot weather, especially, with having a young baby. Overall, it is easy to setup and cools the room really well. However, the only cons I have is that it is quite noisy (especially if you have it in the bedroom) and it only has two speed settings.

Hello there,
The MeacoCool MC Series Pro 9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner is suitable for use with wood-painted walls, as long as the unit is positioned correctly and the window kits are installed carefully to avoid scratching or pinching the surface.
Thanks for using Q&A

Hello Bill,
The supplier has advised for the MeacoCool MC Series Pro 9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner: The model referenced is the standard 9,000 BTU air conditioner and is not an inverter model.
The inverter models are part of the Meaco Cirro+ range, which are listed separately.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello there,
The supplier has advised the following for the MeacoCool MC Series Pro 9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner:
A south-facing conservatory reaching around 50°C is a very challenging environment for any portable air conditioner, as the amount of heat entering the space is extremely high.
A 9,000 BTU unit may struggle in those conditions, so a larger capacity unit would give the best chance of bringing the temperature down. It is also important to reduce heat gain as much as possible by using blinds, curtains, or shading during the hottest parts of the day.
The more heat you can prevent entering the room, the more effectively the air conditioner will be able to cool.
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Pazz.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for MeacoCool MC Series Pro 9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner.
The amount a portable air conditioner can reduce the temperature by depends on several factors, including the room size, insulation, sunlight exposure, and how well the room is sealed.
As a general guide, you can expect around a 5–10°C temperature reduction when the unit is correctly sized for the room and used with the window kit fitted properly to minimise heat entering the space.
The lower the heat gain into the room, the more effectively the unit can cool.
Thank you for using Q & A
Hello Ama.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for MeacoCool MC Series Pro 9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner.
Yes, the flexible window kit is suitable for outward-opening windows (where the window opens away from you).
The kit attaches around the edge of the window frame using the seal, allowing it to work with this style of window.
Thank you for using Q & A
Yes it does though it means the window is open by about 6 inches
Hello there,
The supplier has advised the following for the MeacoCool MC Series Pro 9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner:
If the customer is referring to the air conditioning unit, it does not require filling with water to provide cooling.
When the unit is running in dry mode, it removes moisture from the air. This condensation is collected internally in the unit, and depending on the mode being used, it may drain through the internal reservoir or via a drainage hose if continuous drainage is set up.
Thank you for using Q and A.
No it doesnt

Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Steph,
The supplier has advised the following for the MeacoCool MC Series Pro 9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner:
When the unit is operating in cooling mode, the condensation produced is collected internally within the unit and drains into the water reservoir at the base.
The collected water can then be disposed of either by emptying the reservoir manually when required, or by using the supplied drainage hose for continuous drainage where suitable.
Thank you for using Q and A.
Through the tube provided which then sit through a window
