Looks great with a round lampshade! Base is open so you could choose to pop a display inside. I personally prefer it like this, but I might jazz it up at Christmas!

I liked the design of this lamp base, unfortunately I didn't find it suitable for me, too large for what I needed. The bottom of the lamp base is not well finished and quite sharp and it might scratch furniture. Unfortunately I had to return it to the shop.

Hey Shrimp,
I can advise that there is no recommended size shade for this lamp. However the base of the lamp is 29cm wide, therefore I would say anything 30cm or larger would work well.
Please note that touch and dimmer lamps may not be compatible with energy saving bulbs.
