It does what an iron does. It irons things! Nice long lead. I find it dribbles sometimes but I think it may have my hand slightly on the buttons on the top. Hubby used lead holder from old iron so I could wrap it round nice and tidy....when it's cold of course ;-) Would have been better if it came with one as standard
