High quality 4K Player - Much Better Than Blu-ray
Good product, high quality, enough features for any physical media collectors.

Excellent DVD/CD player
Very pleased with this Blu-Ray player. It's perfect both for DVD's (we are members of our local film society, and often borrow from the society's library of DVD's) and CD's - which play very well via the TV's speakers. So yes, good value for money.

Quality Playback
I bought this DVD player as I had been given a number of DVD,s but I did not have a player. I chose the player as it was in my price range and so glad I did. The quality of playback was excellent.

Great 4K greatly improved sound over Sky 4K films
Great product. Picture on Sky 4k is good but 4k from this Sony player is just as good with the added bonus than the sound is greatly improved and uses the capability of my sound bar and rear speakers fully. Not tried connectivity so only score 3 out of 5 tried to skip question but survey won’t let me

Very good player, but let down by the small remote
Just purchased this player. Unscales very well. Good menu system. Lacks a good remote control and limited number of codecs playable via the usb input.

Hi,
thank you for your question.
No, the UBP-X700/K is primarily designed as a digital media transport, meaning that it outputs audio and video signals to external devices like TVs. However, although it does not have a speaker port, it can be connected to soundbars and AV amplifiers (receivers).
You can learn more about how to connect the player to a TV, soundbar, or an AV amplifier on pages 11 and 12 here: https://cutt.ly/3rXTb89s...

Hi Louise,
thank you for your question.
No, the UBP-X700/K is region-coded, which means that it can only play discs from the same region as purchased. You can find the region code of your player printed on the rear of the unit, and it will only play BD/DVD VIDEO labelled with identical region codes.
You can check the specifications of the player here: https://cutt.ly/4rPuxRRZ...
You can also learn more about the region codes for Blu-ray discs in this link: https://cutt.ly/YrymzHY4...
