The Sony ULT Field 5 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built for serious bass and outdoor adventures, with two ULT sound modes (Deep Bass and Attack Bass) that you switch between with one button press. It has a shoulder strap for easy carrying and works horizontally or vertically depending on placement. With 3 internal speakers and a 10-band EQ you tweak through the Sound Connect app, it delivers powerful, room-filling sound whether in the park, at the beach, or in the garden, and the built-in lighting syncs with your music for visual flair.
Battery life stretches to 25 hours on a full charge, so it'll last through long days and late nights without needing a top-up, and it supports PD fast charging when you do plug it in. Connectivity covers Bluetooth for wireless streaming plus a 3.5mm AUX input if you prefer a wired connection, and the frequency response runs from 20Hz right up to 20,000Hz for full-range audio. Really good product with good sound quality and bass. Quite good battery life, only thing missing is the ability to swap battery like JBL. Includes aux input which is missing in most newer portable speakers.

Great sounding speaker
Great sound. Unfortunately it won't pair with my Sony XV500. After several hours trying every suggestion from Sony and the web, had to give up and return it. Great sound, battery life and very portable though, but don't buy if you want to pair with the XV range of speakers. Party Connect app may be good, I don't know, I just know it won't connect two Sony speakers via Bluetooth or the App.

Had the ULT 5 for a couple of weeks now. Really pleased with Bluetooth connectivity. The overall Quality of sound from this speaker surpasses what I expected, low or high volume it’s a breeze. It’s a Quality looking piece of kit, used every day since purchase. Lights look nice in the dark and has ample volume for outside usage. Battery power lasts a long time and the base boost is impressive. If you’re wavering about buying one, just do it.
