About this product
You can't see carbon monoxide, you can't smell it, but it can be lethal. This detector sounds an 85dB alarm when CO levels get dangerous, giving you time to get out and ventilate. It's got a BSI-approved sensor that lasts ten years, so you're covered for the long haul. Test button lets you check it's working properly. Runs on three AA batteries, which are included. Fits on a wall in the hallway, near the boiler, or anywhere you've got fuel-burning appliances. Simple setup, no wiring required.
The ten-year lifespan means reliable protection without frequent replacements. Works with most homes that have gas boilers, wood burners or other fuel-burning equipment. The carbon monoxide detector is as expected! We will never know how well it works until We have an emergency!! I was annoyed that the included batteries didn’t work even though they were sealed in plastic!! Once new batteries were purchased the monitor worked as expected- if you hear a constant annoying beep it’s due to the batteries needing replacing

Item purchased. Item set-up immediately as my old one no battery replacement possible after ten years, Alarm kept on "beeping" on new purchase. Turned out the batteries supplied were "flat" & I then had to purchase new ones.

Im not convinced this answer is correct. The laws regarding carbon monoxide detectors are different in Scotland compared to the rest of the UK.

Devices must be either mains-wired or use a sealed, long-life battery. Alarms with replaceable batteries e.g., AA or 9V are not compliant.
