About this product
This carbon monoxide alarm sounds an alarm when the concentration of CO is too high. It has a BSI mark and a high-quality sensor with a 10-year lifetime. CO is odour and tasteless and can be deadly. Always be warned in time of too much carbon monoxide, thanks to the carbon monoxide detector. The 85 dB alarm sounds when the carbon monoxide concentration is too high.

Nice little carbon monoxide detector
I bought this carbon monoxide detector a couple of weeks ago, as my old one was showing a fault. This one has a 10 year life from date of manufacture, the manufacture date is printed on the side of the detector, and this one was already 2 years old, but I still have 8 years left so that's ok. It is easy to set up, it comes with several pages of instructions, but most of the pages are just the same instructions in foreign languages. You just need to slide the back down and off to access the battery compartment, in order to remove the plastic film off the 3 AA batteries supplied. The 3 LED indicators on the front are red for danger, yellow for faulty, and green for OK, though happily only green flashes on mine. One thing to be aware of, the green flashing light is very bright, the detector is set up in my kitchen so that's great, but it would be a problem if you wanted it for a bedroom. It's small and compact, overall I'm very happy with it.

Seems to be ok. Needed a new one as ours was 7 years old and had to be replaced. Not in stock at most Argos branches so has to travel a bit farther. Will only know how good it is when we actually have to rely on it !!!
