Faulty Habitat ironing board
I collected this ironing board from Argos about 3 weeks ago. When I used it yesterday for the 2nd time I'd found the ratchet underneath to adjust height of the board has broken. A piece of plastic has crumpled and the board is now skewith and dangerous. I will be returning it to Argos today.

Top ironing board
I needed a new ironing board as I had bought one two weeks before and it was far too small as I iron everything so I need a bigger iron board so this one is perfect 👌 👌

Not as good as it could be
Not as good as I hoped, the height can only be set at specific predetermined levels, none of which are suitable for someone who isn't able to stand to do the ironing, it's too high. The ironing board cover and foam beneath are separate items and the fitting is poor, when you slide a large item across the board, the cover comes with it. The cover doesn't cover the underside edges so is uncomfortable to carry as the metal frame digs into your hands. The lever to unlock and collapse the board needs to be pressed very firmly when closing the board, if the lever isn't fully engaged the legs don't latch over the hook and fly open again when the board is moved! On the upside the surface area is good.

Happy with Argos
I bought a lighter one last month but it was unstable. Argos collected and took it back and I replaced it with a heavier one and though it’s a big heavy for me it’s stable and more sturdy than the lighter one so on the whole I am quite pleased with it. I was very pleased with the returns service on the first one and speedy delivery on this replacement. I must say I like Argos …customer service is excellent. Thank you!

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Habitat Extra Wide 120 x 45cm Ironing Board - Silver.
The iron rest on this model is designed for steam stations and has a larger size. Its dimensions are approximately 43 cm wide and 29.9 cm deep. If the cordless iron’s base fits within these dimensions and can sit securely on the rest, it will not be a problem.
