Purchased for my 9yr old birthday. Got it out the box and was very underwhelmed by it. Very basic, and would suit a 6-7yr old. I wouldn’t be getting it for a 9yr+. Kept cutting out too

For the Razor XLR90L Kids Electric Scooter, the charging requirements and manual operation capabilities are as follows:
Charging Time
Initial Charge: You must charge the battery for at least 12 hours before using the scooter for the first time.
Regular Recharge: Every subsequent recharge can take up to 12 hours, even if the light on the charger turns green earlier.
Maximum Charge: It is recommended not to exceed 24 hours for a single charge.
Maintenance Tip: Always charge the battery immediately after every ride and at least once a month when not in use to prevent the battery from losing its ability to hold a charge.
Manual Riding and Motor Safety
Manual Riding: Yes, you can ride the scooter manually as a traditional kick scooter when the battery is dead.
Motor Damage: Riding it manually will not damage the motor. When the power switch is turned off, the motor is fully disengaged.
Performance Differences:
Resistance: You will experience a "slight drag" and resistance because of the hub motor's weight and design, making it harder to push than a standard non-electric kick scooter.
Kick-to-Start: Note that even when the battery is charged, this scooter requires a manual kick to at least 3 mph (5 km/h) before the motor will engage via the throttle.
Braking: The rear-fender brake is foot-activated and will still function manually.
