The very model I purchased was fine but the screw threads on this were very short and impossible to tighten sufficient to make the lamp base stable. Also - suggest you assemble from the bottom up. Once the top section is attached it is very weighted to one side, such that it completely wore away the screw fixing on the joining section - very soft, poor quality material. Returned for an exchange, as the grey one was Ok, and haven’t assembled yet. If I hadn’t had a better experience with the other colour, I’d have asked for a refund.

Perfectly fine.
Bought this last month. Would suggest you ignore the instructions and assemble from the bottom up - keeping the screw thread in the top piece level is awkward because of the weight of the shade. Looks fine, does the job.
