Great visually impaired phone
Great little phone . Ideal for my visually impaired father . Only has to press and hold down a number for 3 seconds to automatically call a family member . No need to press the green button. Bit tricky to answer as the green button is the answer button and could be more raised than the others but not an issue if not blind.

I had to ring Doro to find it how to change the menu so that my elderly friend wouldn’t be able to ring 999 as the first option on the menu! But it was quickly sorted 👍

Can’t be used by someone with dementia
i had to take my husband’s birthday present back. He has trouble using any phone, and I thought this simple four button phone with people’s names next to the buttons would be nice for him to keep in touch with the family. But when he randomly pressed OK twice, it took him straight to the 999 emergency call centre. I called the Doro customer service and they blamed the SIM card and told me to go from phone provider to phone provider to find one without 999 but this turned out to be rubbish. There’s no way of disabling 999 on this phone and nobody with dementia can be trusted not to make time wasting calls to the emergency services.

I can advise that the SIM Free Doro Leva X10 Mobile Phone - Black and White is not a SMART phone so it is therefore not possible to add any banking or other types of apps.
