Premium quality printer at an affordable price
This would be the second printer of this particular model XP-6100 Expression Premium (moved house) that I've purchased within the last 2 years. Pros: 1) Epson still allows ink from third party suppliers to be installed- you need a set of 5 cartridges per 400 sheets (colour) Effectively saving 50% of the cartridge price from online sellers. 2) Compact for a printer scanner- can be sat & used between shelves because the paper feed and out-tray are at the front. 3) Double sided printing. 4) Quiet mode. 5) Good photo repro (quality paper required) 6) Wifi/hub compatible. 7) Good Scanning quality- Epson Software is straighforward to use. Cons: 1) Not a touch LCD screen, so inputs menu/directional arrow based. 2) Not straighforward to get connected to WiFi each time you switch on. 3) Paper jam errors (if you are less than accurate loading fresh paper). 4) Its refresh time, its wake-up time and its shut-down/switch off time are longer than you'd expect. To Sum up you have to compare this against all the other Epson photo printers to realise this one is the cheapest- it can still do most of what the high spec models can do but you have compromised because of the price point. I would add I wasnt prepared to pay £300-£500 for a printer, so I'm happy with this choice.

Not so good
It takes years to print , and the double side takes also so much time ,the quality of the printing is okay , but the other thing is that you always have to let it be open it doesn't open automatically also the cost of the ink is high
