The AirRAM 3 has a powered self-cleaning filter which removes dirt build up throughout the life of the product to maintain cleaning performance. The AirRAM 3 also has unique never-seen-before edge-brush technology, removing debris from tight spaces, getting into dusty corners like no other vacuum. Very good
Very powerful machine, sometimes too powerful so blows dust away from the machine. Easy to empty but care has to be taken it doesn’t fall out. Great to be able to recharge it and store on the unit

Don’t bother if you actually want something that cleans
Unfortunately, this vacuum didn’t meet expectations. I bought it for quick, in-between cleans, but after about two weeks of use, it proved ineffective. Rather than picking up debris, it mostly just pushed crumbs around the floor, and the edge brushes wore out surprisingly quickly. I ended up returning it and replacing it with a Miele cordless vacuum, which is vastly superior in performance. To add to the frustration, the refund process also took much longer than expected.

This is my 3rd Gtech vacuum, the previous 2 being the upright AirRam 2 black/green floor care items. This AirRam 3 is by far the best, I tend to hoover every day so I can put it through 3 years worth of wear during each year of ownership. This AirRam 3, although more expensive, feels built to last, and is much better at getting particles at the edges and corners. This one self-cleans the filter, the noise it makes when self-cleaning is a bit disturbing at first but self-cleaning is welcome as cleaning out the AirRam 2 green tube filters is messy, best done outside. Highly recommended, the webpage says designed to last for 20 years. . . . . . . not sure it'll last 20 years in my hands!

Air Ram 3
We had an old Air Ram cleaner which we’ve had for 10 years or more, and apart from the battery failing it still works okay! We have another hand held vacuum so decided to go to for the latest Air Ram 3 for all the floors (mixture of solid and carpet). I’m glad we did. The cleaning performance is excellent on all surfaces, and the battery seems to have a good life - it will just about do all of our 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house in one go. It feels a lot more premium than our old Air Ram, and some features are a big improvement over the old model, such as…. The bin emptying method and increase in size. The charging dock. Simpler filters. Hair wraps far less on the brush with the new machine. The vibrating filter cleaner is a good idea, but I’m not sure how effective it is? So far, the only things I can see which would make the Air Ram 3 even better are…. More visible battery status lights, in use it’s difficult to see the battery status lights where they are - on the battery itself. The rotating brushes look very flimsy and are bending out of shape after only a few uses. An option to have a second battery with the machine would have been good. An articulated split handle to get underneath furniture is easier than having to drop this handle to ground level.

Brought this new gtech to replace the one we have had for 6 years. It’s just as good but with the added brushes to get to the edge. I like the the fact that this one as a charging stand so I just charge it 30mins a day. Gtech isn’t cheap but if this last as long as my other then it’s good value for money

“ The model in question does have a filter, but it features a self-cleaning mechanism. This works by using the motor to periodically agitate and clear dust from the filter automatically, reducing the need for manual cleaning. That said, over time—typically after a few years of use—the filter may still benefit from occasional manual cleaning or eventual replacement to maintain performance.
In terms of pricing and run time:
The model includes a different battery configuration, which delivers a 30-minute runtime.
