decent-looking toaster, but misleading advertising
This Cookworks Illuminated 2 Slice Toaster looks nice and has a useful high-lift feature for smaller slices. However, the Argos advert stated that it included a “look and see” function — allowing you to lift the bread to check the browning level without cancelling the program. Unfortunately, this toaster does not have that function. I specifically chose and paid more for this model because of that feature, so I was very disappointed and returned the item. I also raised the incorrect description with a member of staff, but they said it was “nothing to do with them” and took no details to pass on for correction. That was poor service and means other customers may experience the same inconvenience and unnecessary cost. Overall, a decent-looking toaster, but misleading advertising and unhelpful customer service made this a frustrating purchase.

Cheap, cheerful toaster does everything needed
Bought when previous toaster gave up after 4 years of loyal service. Was skeptical due to the cheapness, but so far has been very good. Wide range of toaster settings including a reheat button which is a neat feature. Doesn't look cheap and nice size to fit just about anywhere. Very pleased with my purchase.

Great little toaster.
This toaster was bought as a replacement for a much more expensive one that had broken after just two months. Instead of getting another "Top brand" i took a punt on this Cookworks toaster, and i have to say it toasts brilliantly, well done Argos.
