The SMARTCHARGE 6 from Ring Automotive features an efficient nine-stage charging cycle and supports 6V and 12V batteries including Lithium-Ion. Its compact design, clear display, and intelligent one-touch operation make it ideal for maintaining cars, motorcycles, and caravans. Built with safety in mind, it includes polarity and short circuit protection and an IP65 weather-resistant design. Easy-to-use crocodile clips, a hanging hook, and o-ring connectors provide convenience without detaching the battery.

Yep it did the job. My only criticism is, as others have said, the enclosed instrctions are complete gibberish and totally confusing. I'n all honesty I could have worked it out by myself, but, I sent an email to Ring Automotive support and they sent a much simpler version that made it obvious. Other than that. Fine

I bought this Ring Smartcharge 6 car battery charger as a replacement that needed to charge an AGM type car battery. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was half the size and half the weight of my old one. It is easy to use and works quickly charging a large 80 amp battery overnight. I have been impressed by the quality and longevity of other ring products and this is made to a similar high standard. My only criticism is that the + add - symbols on the positive and negative grips could be clearer, this was easily remedied with a permanent marker.

Little device big help
Great size to store in my car for when I need it. Compact so doesn’t take up loads of room. Really easy to use. Great product for what I need it for. Would recommend this product as it really helps when needed

Very easy battery charger to use, can chose battery type. Very sturdy yet compact and easy to use. Charges very quickly, much better than the old types. I’ve now used it twice and would definitely recommend it.

The supplier has advised the following for the Ring Smartcharge6 6/12v Smart Battery Charger:
This is a charger and not a jump starter, it won’t start a car at all. It will charge a car battery and, after up to half a day, the car should then start.
Bear in mind the battery must be more than 3 Volts.
If the battery voltage reads less than 3 Volts it will be too low for the charger to regard it as being in a chargeable condition.
