The SMARTCHARGE 6 from Ring Automotive features an efficient nine-stage charging cycle and supports 6V and 12V batteries including Lithium-Ion. Its compact design, clear display, and intelligent one-touch operation make it ideal for maintaining cars, motorcycles, and caravans. Built with safety in mind, it includes polarity and short circuit protection and an IP65 weather-resistant design. Easy-to-use crocodile clips, a hanging hook, and o-ring connectors provide convenience without detaching the battery.

Have only used the charger once but found it very simple to connect and set up. Charging was surprisingly fast. I am very pleased.

Great little charger
This is a very simple to use charger, does exactly what it should and is safe and seems well buit for long life. Works with car batteries and the display is nice and easy to see. Comes with two different types of connectors too. Charged flat battery quickly so I’d recommend it for sure.

The supplier has advised the following for the Ring Smartcharge6 6/12v Smart Battery Charger:
This is a charger and not a jump starter, it won’t start a car at all. It will charge a car battery and, after up to half a day, the car should then start.
Bear in mind the battery must be more than 3 Volts.
If the battery voltage reads less than 3 Volts it will be too low for the charger to regard it as being in a chargeable condition.
