Looks good and does the job
Great Steam Cleaner. We bought this to replace a Karcher Steam Mop which gave up on us after 3 years. This Shark is much superior, costs less and so easy to use. Stores easily in a cupboard. Only thing I don't like is when removing the water container as it has to be pulled out and does resist. I feel the suction will soon wear way.

What a Disappointment from such a great brand.
Well after reading some amazing reviews I brought this Shark floor steamer. I’ve got to say I was very disappointed after using this steamer on my tiled floors,it wet the floor through even on the lowest setting. Also it made a loud ticking noise too! I’ve returned this product to my Argos store and received a full refund.

The Shark S2001UK is designed specifically for sealed hard floors such as tile, marble, hardwood, laminate, and stone, and it should not be used on soft surfaces like mattresses or beds.
We do not recommend using any kind of detergent in the water tank of this steam mop. We recommend distilled water if available.
That is correct. Extra pads have to be purchased separately.
Hello Hannah d,
For the Shark SteamSpot Steam Cleaner.

Thank you for using Q and A.
The Shark SteamSpot produces continuous steam while you clean, with three modes low, medium, high. You can also press the handle trigger to use Steam Blaster for a targeted burst on stubborn spots.
Yes, if your engineered wood floor is fully sealed and the floor manufacturer permits steam cleaning. Shark specifies SteamSpot for sealed hard floors and not for unsealed or waxed wood, and advises checking the floor maker’s care instructions first. Use Low for wood, keep the pad moving, avoid holding Steam Blaster in one spot, and use only distilled water. If your floor maker advises against steam, do not use it.
This unit is designed for use on most hard floor surfaces. We recommend against using it on carpets.
The Shark SteamSpot Steam Cleaner is designed for sealed hard floors, that includes sealed laminate, tile, wood and sealed vinyl surfaces as well. Linoleum (lino) behaves much like vinyl when properly sealed, so you can safely use the SteamSpot on sealed lino floors, just be sure any gaps or wear are fully sealed before steaming to avoid moisture damage.
No, it is not recommended to put detergent or any cleaning solutions into the water tank of the Steam Spot Steam Cleaner. This steam mop is designed for chemical-free cleaning with steam generated from water only. Using any other liquids or chemicals can damage the steam mop and may be unsafe.
We suggest utilizing cold or room-temperature water in this unit. If you reside in an area with hard water, we advise using distilled water in your steam mop.
