The real review
Originally write a review saying this was the best steamer I’ve had. I’ve now asked for my review to be removed. On second use I realised the steam jet wasn’t touching the floor. Put a glass cloth far away from it and as it got closer it started to list the cloth upward. This was at least 20-25cm away. At this length I was doubtful the steam even existed and was just air so I reluctantly put my hand there. Moved my hand closer and close, right up to the nozzle and it barely even wet my hand let alone hurt it. No heat and not much water. No wonder it wasn’t helping remove stains! I’ve requested a return

First shark steamer but 5th steamer I’ve owned.
I’ve had various ‘top branded’ steamers. All of which I’ve found awkward to use. I just thought all steamers were rubbish. That was until we bought this one. I opted for the one with the front jet of steam for the extra cost and it’s a game changer so I’ve pleased I did.

Fantastic steam mop by Shark! Very easy and straightforward to use. Pads are washable and this steam mop is great for hard floor. Floor is clean and without a streaks. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely brilliant steam mop. Gets all the stains out and the steam is great. Our cream floor tiles were gleaming after using the mop. Shark is an excellent make and Argos price was very competitive so got a bargain. Thank you Argos once again

Amazing steam mop.
I brought this steam mop a few weeks ago I absolutely love it, its light weight , easy to use ready to go, it has 3 different temperatures i use it on lino and laminate flooring its amazing gets right in the corners and my floors are left so clean with out having to use chemicals. It comes with 2 mop heads but i did buy more as i like to change them and wash them regularly. I definitely recommend this steam mop and this brand . So glad I brought this steam mop and on offer so win win.

The Shark SteamSpot doesn't work not unless the wet room floor is properly sealed and rated for steam.

The Shark S2001UK is designed specifically for sealed hard floors such as tile, marble, hardwood, laminate, and stone, and it should not be used on soft surfaces like mattresses or beds.
We do not recommend using any kind of detergent in the water tank of this steam mop. We recommend distilled water if available.

The Shark SteamSpot produces continuous steam while you clean, with three modes low, medium, high. You can also press the handle trigger to use Steam Blaster for a targeted burst on stubborn spots.
Yes, if your engineered wood floor is fully sealed and the floor manufacturer permits steam cleaning. Shark specifies SteamSpot for sealed hard floors and not for unsealed or waxed wood, and advises checking the floor maker’s care instructions first. Use Low for wood, keep the pad moving, avoid holding Steam Blaster in one spot, and use only distilled water. If your floor maker advises against steam, do not use it.
This unit is designed for use on most hard floor surfaces. We recommend against using it on carpets.
The Shark SteamSpot Steam Cleaner is designed for sealed hard floors, that includes sealed laminate, tile, wood and sealed vinyl surfaces as well. Linoleum (lino) behaves much like vinyl when properly sealed, so you can safely use the SteamSpot on sealed lino floors, just be sure any gaps or wear are fully sealed before steaming to avoid moisture damage.
