About this product
This walkie talkie set puts two young agents in direct contact up to 30m apart. It is built for back garden missions, park adventures and indoor secret operations. Each unit clips to a belt for hands-free carrying between hideouts. The long-range antenna extends communication across gardens and play areas. Kids press the talk button to speak and release it to listen. Messages come through clearly on the built-in speaker. It is designed for ages 6 and up ready to co-ordinate their next mission.
The belt clip keeps units secure during active play and rapid movement. The push-to-talk system teaches turn-taking and communication skills naturally. Range reaches 20 to 30m depending on obstacles and environment. Batteries are required but not included in the pack. Adult supervision is recommended during use. Small parts make this unsuitable for children under 3 years old. This set supports cooperative play and imaginative role-play across indoor and outdoor spaces.

Fairly reliable at this price point
Bought it by click & collect. Good as possible to check stock availability, if so, at which branch. The product is quite well made, briefly tested upon received. So far so good. The sound quality wouldn’t be as good as 10x more your expensive your smart phone. But as a toy, it could be quite a fun.

Great features
My kids absolutely love their new walkie-talkies and can’t get enough of them! They’re super easy to use and have provided hours of fun. The only downside is that they operate on just one frequency, so they sometimes pick up random conversations — but overall, they’ve been a big hit in our house.

Kids loved them thanks

Better than the cheap ones.
Bought as a Christmas present and also as a replacement for a peppa pig set of walkie talkies that stopped working after little use. These ones are much better all round. Clearer voices, better distance and seem better made. They are light tho. I thought I had bought an empty box initially, but they were there. All in all a good quality first set of walkie talkies

Hello Kats
Science Mad Walkie Talkies
The Science Mad Digital Walkie Talkies feature three specific channels, which you can set to ensure both handsets communicate with each other.
Setting a Specific Channel:
To set the walkie-talkies to the same channel:
Locate the Menu Button: Use the menu button on the device to cycle through the available channels (indicated by an LED display).
Match Channels: Ensure both handsets are set to the same number (1, 2, or 3) to allow them to communicate.
Lock Settings: You can press and hold the menu button to lock the settings, which prevents your child from accidentally changing the channel during play.
Stopping Communication with Strangers
While these walkie-talkies use "no interference" digital channels to minimize overlap, they are not private.
Public Frequencies: Like most toy walkie-talkies, these operate on shared public frequencies. Anyone else within range (up to 3km outdoors) using a similar device on the same channel could potentially hear or talk to your child.
No Privacy Codes: This specific model does not appear to have advanced "privacy codes" or CTCSS/DCS sub-channels that filter out unwanted transmissions.
Safety Recommendation: To keep your child safe, advise them to change the channel if they hear a stranger talking, or to stop using the device and tell an adult immediately.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello,
The "Science Mad Walkie Talkies" can be used together with more than 1, however, it needs to be linked to each other with the settings.
