Best value for your money
I must say I am impressed, I get completely immersed in every movie I which on this to. Another great product from tcl, I was on the fence about getting this or the one of the most popular brands. I have never had a mini led, since I am on a budget, after purchasing the 58” Samsung crystal uhd tv I was completely dissatisfied…I could literally count the pixels on the screen. After watching so many vids on YouTube, learning about different tv panels for someone looking for a budget tv, I settled for this, c6k, miniled 4k tv with swift android os, good sound quality, good color and contrast, >144hz refresh rate and so much more for a little under £500. Honestly these picture don’t do justice to it.

HIGH quality at a LOW price.
This is the third TCL 55" Smart TV I have purchased in the last couple of years. Why the third I hear you ask! Well, the truth is, the quality of these TCL TV's just keeps getting better. My first one, the TCL 55RP620K was purchased in January 2023, it featured the Roku OS which was great. I then decided to purchase the TCL 55C745K with a QLED screen and Google TV OS. It was a step in the right direction in terms of quality. Both of these TCL TV's have excellent picture quality and great features. The only downside, like most brands of smart LED TV's is the sound quality. On each occasion I have had to re-route the sound through my ageing JVC 2.1 sound system which made a huge difference. I then learned about the TCL 55C6K, with it's Mini-LED screen which gives an even sharper picture and even more control over picture and sound settings. The TV also has Google TV OS which I love, and the big PLUS was the built-in 2.1 sound system. I just had to have it. Perfect picture, great features, excellent sound for a TV. I no longer need my JVC sound system. Of course, I'm not going to get the same deep base sounds as a stand alone sound system, but it is good enough for watching movies and sports in my size of lounge which is about 5 x 4m. I gave my daughters my first TCL TV's and they love them too. As for me, I can't see TCL topping my latest TV in terms of quality and features but I will eagerly await their next offering. TCL are most certainly up there with the biggest names and deservedly so going by my experience.

Great purchase
Three weeks in, this was definitely a good decision. I live in a flat with large windows from two sides so I was concerned about glare. TV handles glare really well and still looks very good in dim lighting conditions (had to fiddle with the picture settings a bit). Sharp picture. Speakers also very good and LOUD. They’ve put me off purchasing a soundbar. Google TV software and extremely snappy and quick, handles app downloads very well and loads very quickly. Also seamlessly connected to my Apple HomeKit and now Siri can switch the TV on/off even when I’m not at home.

Didn't work for me
Feature rich mid budget TV but just kept on freezing when using any catchup TV. I must admit to not having the fastest Internet but I had no problems with my old TV (LG) or the replacement for the TCL which was a Hisense E7N. I do live in a village and we haven't got fast fibre, the connection is DSL/Adsl through a phone line, so it could be that. However, like I day, the E7N (same price and similar spec) works perfectly. The only other difference is the TCL has a Google interface, which, for us, is complicated and difficult to navigate.

As long as you have an aerial cable attached you will be able to use the digital tuners to set up your Freeview.
Or you could download the Freely streaming app, which is like Freeview.
