Has not met my expectations
I bought this lava lamp thinking it would be a great addition to my children’s room, but I was disappointed with its performance. It takes a very long time for the wax to heat up and start forming shapes, and the light itself isn’t bright or effective. The materials used for the base and top feel quite thin and low-quality. I understand that the heating coil in the base is what warms the lamp, but the base seems too flimsy to distribute heat evenly. A sturdier, thicker base would likely help it function more efficiently and prevent the coil from shifting. In this lamp, the coil moves easily, which disrupts the wax flow and permanently distorts the patterns. Overall, I’d rate it a 2 out of 5. It’s not ideal for young children’s rooms due to its long heating time and fragile construction, but it could work for older kids or adults if left undisturbed for longer periods.
