bought about a month ago and it is adequate. quite plastic and fairly flimsy but does have decent suction and is easy to empty. difficult to maneuver on thick carpet. despite all this we are happy with the purchase.

This particular model is fixed and does not offer steering capabilities. However, the Steerable version of the machine is equipped with a roller ball mechanism that allows it to turn left and right for easier manoeuvrability.

The Vax Mach Air Revive Corded Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner is good on large pile carpets and rugs. This version has the ability to slide the vent cover open to decrease suction, if required on high piled carpets on the rotating brush head.
Also close the vent cover to increase suction, for maximum cleaning on hard floors.

Not really. Its awkwardly set up at the bottom and you have to disconnect from the bottom roller and reattach the hose.
