My friend loaned me hers when I had to clear up after my sick dog and ended up buying one. It not only cleans very well it also eliminates any odours. It's very easy to use. Bear in mind that it is a spot cleaner, it's not practical to clean a whole carpet or large rug.

Does the Job!
Bought to use on sofa and rugs in a house with 2 dogs. Easily portable, although you need to be able to lift and carry it. So therapeutic to see the dirt come out when you use it. My only moan, is it isn’t easy to get the hair/fluff out of the nozzle which builds inside, as it doesn’t open.

Eliminates nasty odours
I bought the Rug Doctor spot cleaner as my cat had started to use my lounge rug as a litter tray so started to smell of cat urine. I used The spot cleaner and was able to rescue my rug and also used it to remove some other small stains on my sofas. It was able to remove the very strong pungent smell of cat pee so I was very happy with the result. Hence I would recommend this product.

Useful Tool around The House
Originally had non pet model but it was faulty and Argos were great at taking it back and refunding costs. Decided to try Pet version and happier so far with it. Have used it 4 times and no problems as yet but still only early days.

This can be used on upholstery where suitable which they do advise :Oxy Fabric Cleaner for upholstery

After checking with our supplier they have advised: Both the Rug Doctor 1093407 Pet Portable Spot Cleaner 741/9742 and Rug Doctor Spot Portable Cylinder Carpet Cleaner 797/1321 are 1100 air watts.

If they shed hair than it will easily block up this machine, you cant unclog it yourself and have to send it in which is quite pricey at 25 pounds per hour

This is something that will depend on how much the cats would require cleaning up after as much if not more than the numbers of cats you have. This is a spot cleaner rather than a product that would suit doing an entire floor and you'd need to consider this in relation to the amount of dirt that may need to be cleaned.
