Lovely quality design
Classy design with quality - you can feel it when you press down on the lever. Only thing to note is that the slots are not wide enough for extra thick bread, which my husband likes, but we are keeping the toaster

"The height is an industry standard chassis size and specified to brown a minimum depth of 100mm. The slot length is 138Ā±2mm and the slot width is 36Ā±2mm (but guide arm width is only 14Ā±2mm when lever depressed)"

You can't just use one, they will work in tandem with each other. You can however only put in one slice to only toast one piece.
