Great improvement
Went into Curry’s to buy a fridge & saw this Sony TV, could not leave without it. This 55” TV is a vast improvement on my old 42”, not only can I see any writing on the screen it is a vast improvement in every way. The colours & brightness are beyond amazing. The only issue I’ve had is sorting out the remote control to automatically select HDMI 2 for my Virgin Media

Apps not updating
Sent T.V back due to BBC IPLAYER and ITVX apps not updating, when going to Play store it says these apps are not available on this device even though they're on the device, spent nearly 12hrs trying to set the TV up,gave up in the end and sent it back.

I bought a Sony tv a month ago and I am so disappointed with it.we haven’t got sky and I had to buy a free view box to be able to get channels.it took days for us to realise we had to have one .i feel we should have been told this when purchased.it was only when I rang curry’s helpline that we were told.very disappointing wouldn’t buy another.

2nd Sony Bravia, after 15 years use of the first
Great TV with just one niggle, the tv does not start automatically when I turn on my Skybox, I have to turn the tv on manually and select the correct Hdmi plug. I also have a Humax attached which works correctly though a little slow to start.

Bought recently, not as easy to set up as my last Bravia from 10 years ago. Older handsets were much easier to use l. And why can't TV go straight to live TV and not have to see all the options first.

Thanks for the reply. The tv is capable of playing a fantastic picture because setting up my Netflix, Amazon, Now TV ect, it said, your tv is running at 1080p, do you want to upgrade for a fee, of course, and now the screen is stunning. So it has the capabilities if you pay in multiple subscriptions. However terrestrial tv is free, and nowhere in the settings can you upgrade the picture quality. Its like viewing tv in 90s - 2003. Please DO NOT BUY this tv. Its really upsetting for the money.

You would know if there was a film as it's clearly noted within the packaging and has tabs that you need to pull to remove it. The model here is stated to not have one.
In terms of your issue with the picture quality, we would suggest contact Sony on this to see if it's a display fault, they are best to answer the questions and troubleshooting as it's their product, we are just the selling platform.
