Great product.
Use it to monitor the humidity in a utility room and turn on the dehumidifier if it gets too high. Simple to access via the Tapo app and Alexa. But note it needs a Tapo hub to work.

I bought several of these. Two were placed in my fathers house, lounge and bedroom. He has dementia and these are giving me so much more information than a camera on its own would. I have placed another in my loft which has quickly made me realise that the insulation isn't as good as it could be. Unbelievably useful with a little imagination

Purchased these along with a smart hub and was able to connect them easily enough. It's really useful to be able to track temperature and humidity in my greenhouse and will eventually get around to setting up some actions (e. g. turning on a fan when humidity or temperature is high).

Great little thermometer!
A great little thermometer, you do need the tapo hub for it to work. I bought this for my camper so I can tell the temperature when my dog is in there and I need to pop into the shops briefly when the weather's warm. Connected to the WiFi in my van, I get up to date temperature readings when I need them. Perfect! It takes a cell battery to keep it powered, which is included in the box and is simple to replace when necessary and its easy to set up on the app on my phone. I'm really happy with this and I would recommend :)

Hi,
Unfortunately, the T310 does require a Tapo hub to function. The T310 is a SubGHz device (operating on 868 MHz in Europe or 922 MHz in America), and these types of Tapo sensors—including Smart Temperature & Humidity Monitors, Water Leak sensors, Contact sensors, and Motion sensors—require the use of a hub. Only the Tapo hub is compatible with these products. They cannot connect directly to your router or work with just the app alone.
However, once you have a Tapo hub set up, you can receive temperature alerts on your phone when the temperature drops below a certain level.

I can advise that the Tapo T310 Temperature & Humidity Sensor requires an additional Tapo Smart Hub (H100 or H200) to function and connect to your home network, including Google Home.

- Yes, you can ask Alexa for the temperature.
- Yes, you can use the T310 as a trigger in Alexa routines—but only for temperature, and only if you’ve set it up via Matter. To do this, Ensure your Tapo hub firmware is Matter-enabled (H100/H200).
- No, humidity triggers aren’t available in Alexa routines yet.''

The TP-Link Tapo T310 Smart Temperature & Humidity Sensor can be used in a fridge or freezer, as long as the environment stays within its operating temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) and humidity range of 0% to 99%.
However, keep in mind that the fridge or freezer might interfere with the sensor's connection to the smart hub, potentially affecting app control and advanced features.
