Great all round easy to use smart plug
I bought a few of these smart plugs for use with my Christmas lights. I've been really pleased with them, they were simple to set up and integrated easily and quickly in to Apple HomeKit. I also setup the Tapo app afterwards to make use of the energy monitoring features. I felt like the price was also great considering the brand and features. I've since bought more for use with electric blankets, lamps and other devices around the house.

Easy set up
So easy to set up, literally set up four in under 10 minutes, al work well with my Apple home app.

Great little bits of kit!
This is the second 4-pack of plugs Thai have bought from Argos. They replaced my G-Homa plugs. They connect easily with my home WiFi. It is good to be able to see how much energy each appliance is using. The app is neatly laid out, but setting the timings for the appliances could be more intuitive - maybe that will improve with updates. They're less bulky than my previous plugs.

Great Smart Plug
Great Smart Plug that is easy to configure and use with Google. We now have a few routines that turn on table lamps at sunset and off at a preset time. We also set a routine when we were away for a few days. All very straight forward. The plugs also have a convenient button to turn them on and off manually.

As far as our information shows, a hub is not required just the Tappo app.

Hi, Tapo P110M only supports connecting to 2.4G WiFi and does not support 5G WiFi. Thanks for using Q&A.
Tapo also make an extension socket with four outlets, each of which is individually controllable remotely - P304M.

We recommend using smart plugs directly in wall outlets. Overloading devices (exceeding the smart plug’s limit) may inadvertently be connected to power strips, posing a risk to product damage.
