Solid Build Quality, Great Screen
Lovely screen, excellent for everything from gaming to video editing and YouTube. Solid build quality with stable base and adjustability for height, tilt and swivel. At 32 inches and with a curved screen, this monitor is really immersive for gaming. Paired with my RTX 4060 it runs Clair Obscur at solid frame rates with no screen tearing as it is G Sync compatible. Colours are excellent, 1440p is the sweet spot for most gaming rigs, all in all I am delighted with this monitor, it has exceeded my expectations and is a massive step up from my previous Asus 27 inch 1080p monitor. For the price, it's a bargain.

I'm in love... with a monitor!
I started working from home in 2020 (like most people) and because it was so sudden I opted for a cheap and cheerful 24 inch monitor, which to be fair, served me reasonably well for 5 years. But I also write in my spare time and the text clarity was shocking, meaning I frequently got headaches and eye strain. So I decided that I deserved an upgrade. And what an upgrade this 32 inch Philips is! Obviously, there is the size difference. At 32 inches it means I can do split screen comfortably and both open tabs are still clear and large enough for me to work without strain. The curved screen is a lovely design touch and when using it to stream shows and movies (when not working!) It is quite immersive. This is helped by the rich colours of the display and the ambiglow lights at the back that sync with the colours on the screen - coming from a techie household, we have previously owned an ambilight TV so this was not a new feature for me, but still a nice addition to the monitor. If you have hue colour smart bulbs, you can downloadthe desktop app and sync them to your monitor to "extend" the experience. I have tested it and it works well but be aware it doesnt work with everything (so not streaming services for tv viewing) but if you bought this for actual gaming I can imagine this would be worth doing. The 2k / 1440 / QHD resolution means text is crisp, and pictures and sharp, again reducing eye strain. This is also useful when streaming videos or editing photos. The adjustable height, swivel and tilt actions mean I can get a comfortable, ergonomic angle while working, and the mechanism is smooth and non-clunky. The toggle button on the back for the menu takes some getting used to but now I love it, it feels like a teeny joystick! I am no longer a gamer (I used to be before adult life took over), but I can imagine how great the gaming experience is on this. My son (I have handed the gaming baton to him these days!) was impressed by the specs, and while his own monitor has higher specs all around he agrees that this is an incredibly decent monitor for the cost. And from how it performs in other areas I have no doubt it would be great for gaming. Who knows, I might even be persuaded to pick up a copy of GTA to really give the gaming specs a true test! In the meantime, for my more modest, sensible (boring) working from home and writing needs, this monitor has exceeded my expectations. I am sure we will happily write many a novel together!
