About this product
The Bosch GTV15NWEBG Under Counter Freezer is a practical choice if you need frozen storage without eating into your kitchen space. It's an under-counter model with 83 L of capacity, enough for about 4 shopping bags, which works nicely for smaller households or as a backup freezer. The Super Freezing function is genuinely handy when you're loading in fresh groceries or batch-cooked meals, it drops the temperature quickly so everything else stays properly frozen. There's an audible alarm that'll let you know if the door's been left open, which prevents you from discovering a soggy mess later.
You get 3 transparent drawers, so you can actually see what's in there without pulling everything out, and they're decent for keeping things organised. 'Boschting' Freezer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in the West Midlands I thought a bit of 'Black Country' humour in the title might catch the eye. My new Bosch feezer looks absolutely fantastic in my side entrance as it silently gets on with keeping all my frozen food in good order. However, the other day I noticed a thin layer of frosty ice had formed on the front of all the drawers. Thinking I might have not closed the door correctly I scraped the ice off and cleaned the front of the drawers. Within a few days or so the frosty ice re-appeared, not as much as before, but, as it did not appear to be hindering the performance of the freezer, I have left the thin layer of ice on the drawer fronts.

Good replacement for our old freezer

The user manual only refers to it needing to be done regularly. The timescale would probably vary depending on use and other factors.
The user manual says: "The freezer compartment does not
defrost automatically. A layer of hoarfrost in the freezer compartment impairs refrigeration of the frozen food
and increases power consumption." So we'd advise that you do so every so often so as to minimise this build up and to ensure the freezer functions correctly.
