SURPRISINGLY GOOD
I have never purchased a microwave before but with this particular one I am very pleased that I now have. I was always against them but circumstances have forced my hand because of a life changing accident. The instructions were a little beyond me to start with but once I fully engaged I was able to use the defrosting function and was pleased how quiet it was. It is at just the correct height for me. The results of the cooking were pleasing with the food tasty and consistent.

This is a fairly basic straightforward microwave but it does what's needed simply and efficiently, which is what I wanted. My mother has an earlier but similar model which has been excellent for many years. A good product from a good brand.

I had an issue with the first microwave I bought as the bulb went within weeks. As the bulb can’t be replaced I had to return the microwave and it was easily replaced with Argos. Dealing with Panasonic was more challenging. Microwave works great and does all I need it too!

It's a microwave and it works. Will it melt?
I bought this after my last one melted (!) its door. So far it's fantastic and is much more effective than the previous Toshiba model. Nice and easy to use even though it has digital controls. Time will tell as to whether it will fail in the same fashion as the Toshiba.

Disappointed
Just bought and used for a week. Not easy to use. Defrost instructions confusing and controls hardly visible. Tried to defrost a frozen scone and it burnt!! Would not purchase again. Wanted a small, simple microwave so disappointed.

I can confirm no, it will not take an 11-inch plate.It is a compact 20-litre model featuring an internal glass turntable diameter of 255 mm (approx. 10 inches). An 11-inch dinner plate measures roughly 280 mm, meaning it will exceed the diameter of the rotating tray

The manual states: ''Microwave cooking and defrosting:
The glass tray must always be in position when using the oven.
*Press Micro Power to select the desired power level (see below *).
*Set the cooking time. Refer to “Setting the cook time/timer time” in the manual.
*Press Start/Set. The time counts down in the display.
* For Defrost you need to press Micro Power 4 times to get to 200 W.
Notes:
1. The oven will automatically work on 800 W (High) MICROWAVE power if a cooking time is entered without the power level previously being selected.
2. While cooking, the glass tray may vibrate. This will not affect cooking performance.
3. For MULTI-STAGE COOKING, refer to page 17.
4. STANDING TIME can be programmed after MICROWAVE power and time setting. Refer to page 19.
5. DO NOT use microwave only with any metallic accessory in the oven.
6. Always check the food during defrosting by opening the door then restarting. It is not necessary to cover food during defrosting. To ensure an even result, stir, turn or separate several times during defrosting. For large joints and poultry, turn halfway through defrosting.
Refer to Defrosting guidelines on page 22 for details.
7. When the microwave oven is operated at 800 W (High) microwave power for long time, the microwave oven automatically adjust the power to protect the components of the microwave oven.''
