Panasonic microwave
Had this about a month. Cheap, but too small. Had trouble with the defrost button, as it wouldn't let you input a time. I had to ring the support line as the instructions included in the box were so poor. Overall disappointed.

Really easy to use.
I’ve had this a few weeks now and am very pleased with it. It works well, is easy to use and very easy to clean. It is smaller than my previous one but is an ideal size and much more energy efficient. It heats the food evenly and has various power options. The instructions are very simple and easy to read.

Great budget microwave
We have had the earlier model for some years but had to find a replacement when the paint started peeling off inside. We went for the model most like what we had before and we are very pleased with it. It does everything we need and has the bonus of a “quick 30 sec” button.

For the Panasonic 20L 800W Standard Microwave NN-ST21QWBPQ - White.
The manual states: ''Microwave cooking and defrosting:
The glass tray must always be in position when using the oven.
*Press Micro Power to select the desired power level (see below *).
*Set the cooking time. Refer to “Setting the cook time/timer time” in the manual.
*Press Start/Set. The time counts down in the display.
* For Defrost you need to press Micro Power 4 times to get to 200 W.
Notes:
1. The oven will automatically work on 800 W (High) MICROWAVE power if a cooking time is entered without the power level previously being selected.
2. While cooking, the glass tray may vibrate. This will not affect cooking performance.
3. For MULTI-STAGE COOKING, refer to page 17.
4. STANDING TIME can be programmed after MICROWAVE power and time setting. Refer to page 19.
5. DO NOT use microwave only with any metallic accessory in the oven.
6. Always check the food during defrosting by opening the door then restarting. It is not necessary to cover food during defrosting. To ensure an even result, stir, turn or separate several times during defrosting. For large joints and poultry, turn halfway through defrosting.
Refer to Defrosting guidelines on page 22 for details.
7. When the microwave oven is operated at 800 W (High) microwave power for long time, the microwave oven automatically adjust the power to protect the components of the microwave oven.''

You would have to tip the plate to get it in. Its wide enough inside but the rim around the front stops you from being able to put a 28cm plate in without tilting it so the contents of the plate would slide off into the microwave
