Purchased this as a Xmas present for my wife. She is impressed with this fabric shaver. The magnetised cover at the back pulls off nicely, allowing the shavings to be discarded easily.

Excellent fabric shaver
I’ve used various fabric shavers on bobbly woollens over the years. Many tug at the bobbles and I’ve even been left with some holes. However this Russel Hobbs shaver is brilliant! It’s kinder to the fabric and I am very happy with it. Ok it’s more expensive but I find that is a reasonable compromise. Also good as it’s rechargeable! I thoroughly recommend this product.

A great find!
This does an excellent job and I’m very pleased with it. The fluff holder is quite small so needs emptying often and the battery life could be better. Appreciate it’s a balance between size weight and function so overall very good.

Great choice all round!
Really good! Good weight, handle is easier to hold than other bulkier brands, and 5 blades instead of 3 with a previous one I had. Easy to empty. Brill that it's rechargable and a full battery seems to last ages. The lock feature with the start button is good. You have to be careful with fine fabrics, such as thin jersey, as it can be sucked up and nicked by a blade quite easily causing a tiny hole in the fabric, but I think you'd get this with any brand. The only issue I've found it that the start button isn't best placed as you can accidentally turn it on/off just by holding the handle.

Every home should have one!
Really pleased with this fabric shaver, have used this successfully on several favourite jumpers which were bobbling badly after only being worn a couple of times they are now looking like new. Can highly recommend and it’s a plus that the shaver is rechargeable.

Trial and error and not suited for everything.
this gadget is only suitable for use on certain types of knitwear - on fluffy textures its not very good, nor is it ok to use on fine knits - the first jumper I shaved was fluffy and it made little impact, however on other types of knits it did make an noticeable difference, improvement and revamped jumpers which were looking bobbly and bitty. I was very disappointed and upset though when I shaved a finer knit jumper as it pulled a hole right in the front and spoilt it completely. I did a test to start of with in a less noticeable area, as per the instructions, and all went well but for some reason it pulled a gaping hole in the most noticeable place so use with caution I would say as it's not suitable for every kind of knitwear and the only way you will know is when you try it.
