Trial and error and not suited for everything.
this gadget is only suitable for use on certain types of knitwear - on fluffy textures its not very good, nor is it ok to use on fine knits - the first jumper I shaved was fluffy and it made little impact, however on other types of knits it did make an noticeable difference, improvement and revamped jumpers which were looking bobbly and bitty. I was very disappointed and upset though when I shaved a finer knit jumper as it pulled a hole right in the front and spoilt it completely. I did a test to start of with in a less noticeable area, as per the instructions, and all went well but for some reason it pulled a gaping hole in the most noticeable place so use with caution I would say as it's not suitable for every kind of knitwear and the only way you will know is when you try it.

Better than expected ! I found this gadget very effective for improving the appearance of my jumpers and giving them a new lease of life. It's easy to use and simple to empty over a bin after use. It comes with a little brush to keep the insides dust free. It's recharchable, so no worries about batteries . It has quite a long operation time on full charge. There is not a charger included ( not a problem as I already had several)' but there is a short USB cable.
