Yes, this product can be used to staple a stair runner to wooden stairs. They recommend to please ensure that the stair runner's thickness is no more than 10mm. They advise that 8mm staples would probably be OK. This would depend on the runner and the stairs too so we cannot be exact.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the WORKPRO 3-in-1 Staple Gun Set.
It is ok to staple through thin fabric & MDF board. For MDF board, Customer could choose 6/8/10mm nails.
