Grech rechargeable carpet sweeper.
I bought this for my 94 year old mother to just run around to pick bits up in between the cleaner coming in once a week. Charged it up and gave it to her. Three days later the rubber strip underneath came off. I put it back on but still it came off. It also started to throw the dirt back out onto the carpet. So, I took it back and got a refund. Wasn't very impressed at all. My mother had over the last few years had a Bissell sweeper so I bought another one of them and earls great. I was very disappointed with the Gtech one though.

Absolutely fabulous
Absolutely fabulous. Picks up dog hair better than my Henry 'pet'. Lighter than a cup of tea. I use it at work too. Lasts about 45 minutes. Charges in much less than 6 hours.

GREAT MOTORISED SWEEPER!
I have had a Gtech vaccum for many years but the one I use now is slowly winding down (much like myself!). I wanted a very lightweight one and found this one for a really good price. It is lightweight but does the job brilliantly. It was slightly fiddly to sort out in the beginning, but hey, I'm on a roll now! I have carpet tiles in my kitchen and there are constant crumbs etc. but no problem at all with this handly sweeper. Yes I would definitely recommend this.

Poor suction
Bough5 for my elderly mother wh has owned several Gtechs. Extremely disappointing. Hardly any suction. Very light but dustbin and brush more effective.

Replacement Gtech carpet sweeper
Its rather noisy compared to my previous older Gtech model, not as robust in build quality either. The older model had two foot buttons. . so sorry it finally gave up the ghost!!

Lightweight hoover
This is the third SW02 I have purchased and that is why this is my 1st choice each time. Reasons being - lightweight with an excellent performance on stair treads and main carpets and rugs, very reliable and easy to empty and clean

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Gtech SW02 Advanced Cordless Power Carpet Sweeper: Depending how long the bristles and threads on the carpet are, there is the potentiality of it being caught up in the brushes. We always advise customers to try out on an unobtrusive piece of carpet first. On most of our machines it is usually possible to remove the brush bars, and just rely on the suction to remove dust / dirt etc.

A sweeper is quieter and doesn't suck up the dust, a vacuum is louder and will deep clean by sucking up the dust.

Gtech SW02 Advanced Cordless Power Carpet Sweeper.
To use the sweeper on the stairs the long pole has to be removed, then remove the visor by unclipping the bottom outer edges at the same time then lifting off. Push lower handle fully forward. Starting at the top and front of each step then moving down and towards you. It also shows in the manual how this is done.
