Replacement for unit with shorted cable
Bought this to replace a unit which had shorted at the cable to 12V car plug joint - there's a surprise with the cables being well less than flexible. This unit appears to be different and I have hopes that after a cold winter, the 12V cable won't suffer the same fate - time will tell!

Yes, it must be plugged into a 12V car socket while in use. It is not cordless, and the 3-metre power cable connects to your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket.
For longer camper vans, the 3m cable may not reach the rear tyres comfortably. You may need a 12V extension cable to ensure full access.
