The Mcgregor impact shredder is powered by a 2400W motor and is ideal for shredding green, soft and woody garden waste upto 45mm in diameter. The steel cutting blade has a no load speed of 3800rpm and is double sided for excellent durability and cutting performance. The shredder has a soft start feature and comes supplied with a feeding stick and 3m cable.

Good for the price
Very lightweight but copes easily with small branches. Is less good a shredding twigs, I guess they are too lightweight. Easy to set up and very easy to access the cutters should they become blocked. I like the inclusion of the bag that hangs neatly from the machine meaning I can leave the shreds in it if I've only done a little. Very pleased overall. Only four stars as the loading of bark and smaller pieces is rather difficult due to the safety barrier.

Great little shredder
This little shredder exceeded my expectations, once built I was a little concerned about the size of it and it's capabilities, but it made short work of large branches from our trees and bushes. It is a little noisy but what can you really expect from a machine that chews through thick branches! I'd have no hesitation to recommend this to anyone that doesn't want to do a huge amount of trips to the local recycling centre.

The shredder is only useful for small branches, but it does the job well and appears resilient.

Pretty good.
It’s surprisingly good with thick branches, impressed. The whole feed of the product is a challenge, it’s obviously a product for the average garden, don’t expect the performance of the industrial ones. Thinner stocks and twigs have a bit of a tendency to whip. All said, happy with this purchase and the mulch has made its way to my soil, looks great.

Very effective for the price.
I bought this to chip branches, I cut off 6 trees, which were up to 45mm in diameter. It literally ate them without any problems but I do recommend using ear defenders for more sensitive ears.

Brilliant little shredder used it a few times and still have all my fingers ,it's a little noisy but my neighbors don't like me anyway so not really a problem,has dealt with 99per cent of my garden...no complaints

Neat and compact
Looks great, I had to search for the instructions to assemble. Safety is paramount but they were mixed in the middle. I had an issue with the stability bar, it needs to say in the instructions to go through the tube into the plastic bar. There are no pictures to show which way to screw it on. Also I received the gift of a lovely big Allen key but nothing to assemble with it, great! Always useful. A nice size for storing and using for maintenance when I’ve hacked back my current rainforest xx

Good Home Shredder
Does comes with a bag though not advertised. For a home shredder works great though a bit noisy. It's lightweight and easy to use. Used it several times since purchasing with no problems.
