The Canon PIXMA G3590 is a 3-in-1 MegaTank printer built for home users who print regularly and want lower running costs. You get printing, scanning and copying in one compact wireless machine, and the refillable ink tanks are what set it apart. One black ink bottle prints up to 6,000 pages (7,600 in Economy mode) and colour bottles manage 7,700 pages (8,100 in Economy), which means fewer refills and less time thinking about ink supplies. Pigment black ink and dye-based colour inks deliver sharp documents and vibrant photos, whether you're printing schoolwork or family pictures.
Print speeds reach 11ppm mono and 6ppm colour, with automatic duplex printing for two-sided documents. The 100-sheet tray holds A4 and media up to 265gsm, letting you print card stock or photo paper without switching trays. Wi-Fi connects computers, smartphones and tablets, and you can print via Canon PRINT app, Apple AirPrint, or Email Print. The touchscreen is easy to navigate, and the flatbed scanner offers 600x1200dpi optical resolution. Four high-yield ink bottles, a power cord, and manuals are included, so you're ready to print right out of the box.

Replacement Printer
I purchased this product one week ago to replace my previous printer which had expired. The setup was generally straightforward except that the instructions for inserting the print heads was slightly confusing as the print heads were packaged akin to ink cartridges with no labelling. This was overcome and the printer was working. I have only used it a few times since and it has functioned well. It was ordered via the Argos website with same day delivery. The delivery was efficient and well within the delivery times that were notified.

Canon, bang for buck
Grant printer, easy to set up with the Canon app. Cost more than our last printer l, but the inks should be cheaper in the long run. The lrw was a 20% saving on when we bought, plus Canon were doing £30 cash back, so it was well worth it. Print quality is better than our previous cartridge based printer too.

Over complicated
You need a fair bit of background knowledge to set up the printer. No written instruction found, only web links. Setting up (on MacBook) was a time-consuming struggle. Specifically you need to know about the link-up with router and how to change the printer name on your local area network so the printer is "seen" by your device(s).

Only does very short documents.
Excellent besides the fact that it gives out and prints a smeared half page about 16 pages in to any document. This is a major problem for me as I am usually printing 20-30 page documents.

I bought this a few weeks ago - I found it easy to set up and use. The ink tanks are suiting me, and the type of printing I do, very well.

Pricey, but will be worth it in the long run
Rather pricey, but I look forward to saving a lot of money on ink. No written instructions, just a web address, but that and the printer's built-in screen enable fitting of the print heads and filling with the ink bottles. The printer has four transparent columns on the front which must be to show the ink levels, but you can't see anything. (!). Photo prints on glossy photo paper are super, but on plain paper look washed out, unlike on my dead HP printer, but it's possible to fool the machine by claiming photo paper is loaded and tweaking the Settings. Small footprint and quiet operation. Wi-Fi set up is quick using the mini screen. New refill bottles are cheaper than cartridges but as far as I can see what came with the printer should last me around 18 months the way I use it.

Great printer. Expensive but the ink bottles are big and replacement ink isn’t expensive and of course can be from anywhere.

A worthy Printer, scanner, copier
I purchased this some time ago, it replaced a HP Office Jet printer scanner. So far I have saved a fortune, well maybe not a fortune on HPs very expensive replacement cartridges. For instance there isn't restrictions on particular cartridges. With my former purchase you could only use their products. The printing is quick and simple with my canon, the other thing is my with can use it. So its a great purchase for me. If I had to mark it out of ten, for value for money, ongoing costs, ease of use, simple set up and independence. I give it a full 100% satisfaction.

Great printer/scanner
Great bit of kit....superb printer with quality scanner. Huge ink tanks ( comes with set of bottles) that provides plenty of printing capacity. Don't do alot of printing of photos but those I have done came out great on photo paper with bright sharp colours. Quite happy with speed although it does sometimes do a clean before printing which is a good thing but can slow down production a bit
