The Indesit IKNH1261W4UK Fridge Freezer is a 50-50 freestanding model that handles fresh and frozen storage without taking up much space. It has a proper split with ample room in the fridge and a good freezer section below, covering most weekly needs. No Frost tech means no ice build-up, so you won't need to chip away frozen walls. The Fresh Space drawer gives fruit and veg their own climate to stay fresh longer, and LED lighting helps you see what's at the back.
It's got 4 adjustable glass shelves in the fridge section, flexible door balconies that move to fit tall bottles or jars, and a salad crisper compartment. Down below there are 4 freezer drawers, which is decent for batch cooking or freezer staples. The reversible door means you can set it up to open whichever way suits your kitchen layout. Energy rating is E, noise level sits at 37dB (so fairly quiet), and there's a high temperature warning facility to let you know if something's not right. It comes with a 10-year parts guarantee.

Engineer needed £140 to change lightbulb
Good quiet, efficient fridge freezer. Very cool on low number. Negative is that it has a sealed unit for the light and recommends you call them when the bulb needs changing! That is bizarre as their callout fee is £140 to change a lightbulb. Other fridges for years have been fine with a normal light bulb that you change yourself. If I had known that an engineer was needed to change the bulb I would not have bought this! Also the light is a feint LED with a greyish, low hue that only lights up, just about, the top of the fridge next to it. Perhaps Indesit should be transparent when describing the new lightbulb system and warn people that there will be an engineer needed and £140 callout fee when the bulb goes.

The handles do not come fixed and need a star shaped screwdriver to fix.
Delivery men do not fix.
Unusual screwdriver not people will have one of these.
